On March 13-19, 2010 (Spring Break), the people of North and the juniors and seniors of Blu will journey to El Salvador to work alongside a Salvadorian church named Oasis de Gracia, led by one of our missionaries Pastor Mauricio.
During this mission, we will be performing a live, open-air drama that will creatively illustrate the gospel of Jesus Christ. These dramas will be performed at least twice a day and will take place in or in close proximity to one of the Oasis churches. After the drama, we will preach the gospel and then extend an invitation for salvation and prayer to the surrounding crowd. Oasis de Gracia will provide Salvadorian youth and college students to be our translators as we do ministry with people. Then all the people who receive ministry will be invited to continue and cultivate their new or renewed Christian walk by the joining one of nearby local churches.
God is on the move in El Salvador. You have the opportunity to join what is happening. All through out Central and South America, people are coming to Christ in droves. It is as if this continent (which has historically been under ancient pagan religions and dead forms of Catholicism) is experiencing the Protestant Reformation for the first time.
The cost of the trip is approximately $1800. We encourage you to send out letters and raise support from friends and family. You can do it. People want to support missions. To reserve your spot, you must apply for admission by filling out this application and turn in an $800 non-refundable deposit by January 1, 2010. Call Meg at 806-677-1001 if you have any questions.
